Logan's Birthday Party

I realize it is still December and Logan's birthday isn't until May but I'm just excited that I have decided on his 1st birthday party theme.. It is going to be Dinosaur Train! See I couldn't decide between dinosaurs or trains so I picked Dinosaur Train. He likes to watch the show so this all works out!

For those of you who have no clue what I'm taking about here is a link to the website!

Now I can start collecting things for the party and I don't have to wait till the last min!

Logan's Poop

Check out the title... you may not want to read this if the title doesn't sound very appealing to you. However, it could be a great attention getter title and you can't seem to help yourself from reading on. You have now been forewarned.

Logan never ceases to amaze me. I have noticed ever since he has been eating more solid foods the poop is harder to come out. It take more grunting. Which can be rather amusing at times. Logan only wants to get things started and waits until you go to change his diaper and then decides to finish things up. He will poop just a little bit and I have gone to change the diaper and out comes about another foot. NO JOKE. Where does this kid store it all? Then, when I think there can't possibly be room for any more out comes another 6-8 inches. (no I have not actually gotten out the ruler to measure but these measurements are pretty right on, give or take an inch) In the whole process he proceeds to pee all over himself. I try to keep him covered but since he doesn't like to poop with a diaper right against his but it makes it hard to cover the rest of him. He tends to kick his legs A LOT. I have joked with people that I am going to start hanging him over the toilet every time he goes and have a potty trained 5 month old.

THIS IS JUST PURE CRAZINESS!

Fun with Leaves

Logan laying in the leaves.

Logan was very curious about the leaves. Until he face planted into them and then he wasn't as interested in them.

Mason was teaching Logan what a leaf was.

Covered Bridge Festival

Today we went to a covered bridge festival in Rockville, Indiana. It was so hot outside. I mean it is 10-10-10 and it was 86 degrees outside. Does anyone else see the issues with this. I am all for warm weather but I enjoy fall. I love the changing colors of the leaves and COOL temperatures. I'm afraid that it will go from hot to cold and I will never get the cool days. I guess I just need to be thankful that there isn't snow all over the ground. :)

Wow it has been a long time!

So I am finding that I am horrible at remembering to update this blog. I was planning on updating it every few days taking about all the cool and new things Logan has done but seeing how the last post was just pictures of Logan and his birth that didn't happen.

Logan is now so much fun. He loves laughing and playing with his daddy. Yesterday we took a walk to Aunt Tiffer's house to see her and Ellie. He enjoyed it. He got to wear his brand new puppy hat. (see picture)

(Don't mind the face he really likes it!)

Logan is also eating now and let me tell you that is an adventure. At 4 months (September 23) He had green beans for the first time. We had already been trying to feed him oatmeal for about 3 weeks before that in efforts to get him to sleep throughout the night. He seems to enjoy eating from a spoon. We haven't found a whole lot he hasn't liked as long as he is eating when he is in a good mood :)

To show you how much he has grown here are some pictures.

Busy weekend

Mason and I have been very busy this weekend. We decided to clean out the garage and organize it so that way we could take some of the crap in our house and move it out there so peanut can have his own room without all our crap in it. that went very well however it was exhausting! We also decided we were going to move the guest bed from the room which will turn into peanuts room into our office. we moved the office completely around and took a bunch of stuff out. However, even though I am tired I feel good that things are starting to look how we plan for them to look by the time Peanut gets here. His room is pretty empty now, which is a good thing because now it can be filled with baby things :) I can't wait until he gets here. I'm hoping my body will decide to go back to normal (hahaha I know like that will ever happen) But I miss the days that I don't throw up or have a feeling of throwing up. I'm sure that it will all be worth it in the end.

Week 22

This is what they are saying about my pregnancy: At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

However, I feel that my baby is a little bit ahead of this because 2 weeks ago he weighed 15 oz. which is almost a pound... So maybe he is further along. Who knows. I have been doing ok. Lately I have been experiencing some dizziness. I thought it was due to not eating something at the right time but now it is starting to happen even shortly after I eat. I looked up some things on the internet and they said it could have to do with the circulation. I still might call the doctor to be sure.

Mason and I are very excited for Peanut. We have started cleaning out some things in the house so we can make way for him to be here! We can't wait.

My Carrot! - 21 weeks

I am 21 weeks along :) I hear that Peanut is the size of a carrot. This is what the website babycenter.com says about peanut. "Your baby -- currently the length of a carrot -- weighs about 3/4 of a pound. (Length: 10 1/2 inches, head to heel.)" However, since I went to the doctor last Tuesday and he said my baby weighed 15 oz at that time He might be a different vegetable.

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

So far I have been feeling ok... I have had a cold/cough for going on 4 weeks. I'm praying that goes away soon. My body seems to like to produce extra mucus! Can't tell you how much fun that is. I feel like I'm getting huge and there is still quite a ways to go. However, I'm very excited about our little baby boy inside and can't wait until he comes into the world. I put away some of his clothes and it just made me more excited! Anyone one have some good name ideas?
